Mr. Millard Aud, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, was a longtime fixture in the banking industry in both southwest Arkansas and east Texas having served as president of the Bank of Amity, Atlanta National Bank in Atlanta, Texas, and Merchants and Planters Bank in Arkadelphia.
In addition to his roles in the banking industry, Mr. Aud served on numerous boards and commissions for organizations including the Caddo Career Consortium, Arkansas Bankers Association, Clark County Industrial Council, Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia, Ouachita Area Council Boys Scouts, Clark County United Way, Main Street Arkadelphia, and Ouachita Baptist University.
He was also a past deacon at Second Baptist Church in Arkadelphia and a member of the Arkadelphia Masonic Lodge.
With his wife Theda, Mr. Aud oversaw the daily operations of the Olds Foundation, which has given millions of dollars to projects across the state. To this day, the Olds Foundation still funds dozens of scholarships to Centerpoint High School students.
